Dave, far as I know, no one has ever made .7 mil tiped needles for the "blackhead". The "redhead" is supposed to have better frequency response. They are both OEM parts--I believe the red head came out with the advent of "Hi Fi--" --on the G/W models.

I have a bi-pin blackhead "Seeburg/Pickering Magnetic Cartridge" (exactly as
labeled) for my "G"...a few more questions, then:
1. How can I tell what size needle is in the cartridge? Not sure if its .7
or 1.0.
Record playback is OK, although I have a mix of stereo/mono records -
each of
different audio quality (Very good to fair playing condition).
2. Was this an original factory cartridge or aftermarket replacement?
3. Any sonic difference between this type of cartridge and the redheads?
4. Is this a rare cartridge setup to have for the "G" model?
I've been contemplating whether I should upgrade to the Pickering 345-03D or
getting a redhead. If all I need to do is simply replace the needles so
they are stereo compatible, then I might be able to put this issue to rest.
