Has anyone tried calling a glass company, like Corning, to
see if they manufacture these glass tubes? I'd think that
such an item would be used in scientific fields, or perhaps
as "blanks" for making other glass utensils. Might be
too expensive to be worth while, but if "mirrorizing" them
is this easy, it might be worth investigating. I used to
work as the IT guy for a hardware and industrial supply
wholesaler, and it's amazing what a dilligent purchasing
agent can turn up.
