Ok, Jackie, then the mech is working fine and you likely have a stuck cancel 
plunger or burnt plunger coils. As for the last record not playing, likely 
the carry-over contacts are not closing. if you think about it, the mech 
runs as long as a pin is out. when you get to the last song it cancels this 
pin and there must be a contact on the mech to keep the play control relay 
energized until the end of the song. i see you have Ron's book which is 
great, i know he can chime in here and direct you to specific pages to 
address the carryover contacts and cancel plungers. if not, we'll do it the 
slow way. justin

Ok, looking at the popularity meter, the plunger fires at the time the
needle hits the record.  After some work on the inside plunger on the frog
(thank you Ron) it seems to be canceling.

If there is only one pin selected, the record does NOT spin.  If there are 2
or more selected, it selects, plays and cancels perfectly.  When it gets
down to only one record selected, it picks up the record and it slowly stops
spinning.

If I manually select another reocrd or from the keyboard select another
record, the record that is already pulled and stopped, starts spinning again
and plays and cancels.

Do I just love these machines!!!  I am really fascinated by it all.
