I believe Wes was trying to tell you was, that the resistor is not the problem--Do you have the Service manual for it? Check the normally closed set of contacts, next to the solenoid. The resistor value varies depending on which brand solenoid was used--see the notes on the schematic. Radio Shack will not have one! Ron Rich

that is what is wrong with my machine. Years ago Adrian I had the coin
assembly apart and cleaned the contacts you are referring to because
this problem had plagued the machine for the past 10 years. I just had
to push the solenoid over with my finger each time when making a
selection. Extremely annoying. Anyhow, it just stopped working one day
while it was receiving fairly regular play. When it activates now it
just has the very lightest pull and if i push on it slowly you can
feel it pulling. Once it reaches the end of its travel if will firmly
hold in place the relays until a selection is made. Would anyone know
the replacement values for this resistor? Can I visit my local Radio
Shack?
