I totalled my first car, a 1968 MGB which I dearly loved.
I was literally heartsick for weeks.  I even had dreams
that I had the car back, just like I have dreams that
my parents and grandparents are still alive. In an effort
to bring the world back into balance, I restored a 1958
MGA which was probably one step away from becoming a parts
car itself.  I later found out that that MGA was built on
my birthday.  I documented the restoration here:

I stopped having the dreams.  Driving that car *is* a dream.
