    Rick, these AMI amplifiers originally had copy on it stating that the AC 
line cord should not be laid close to the tubes. Even though the glass ones 
have internal shielding, in this case, the metal ones would be better if the 
line cord is not rerouted. Wes

Is there a reason for using a metal vs glass envelope tube? In this case, a 
6sj7 in the ami b amp. I need to replace it (this one is metal) and want to
