Gary, the credibility of the seller may be in question here. All problems are 'easy fix' for an expert. Finding one is not so easy. The problem lies in the selection system which is highly complicated for the uninitiated. If you want to tackle this problem yourself, first acquire a service manual and study it until you grasp the concept. Then get in touch with me and we will fix it. Wes

Subject: [Jukebox-list] W1100 problem
Hi all, there is a chance for me to buy a good
original W1100. The seller says there is an ocassional
fault as follows (his words not mine)
The only problem I have ever had with this machine is
the occasional "freezing up" of the selector, in other
words, drop a nickel in, the "make selection" light
comes on, you push the button and nothing happens,
this is rare, but once in awhile it happens, I was
told this is an easy fix, something in the selector
isn't "energizing" at first. It only happens one out
of every ten plays if that and leaving the machine on
it seems to go away, again an easy fix, I'm sure.
Can anyone suggest what would cause this and how
difficult would it be fo fix.
thanks
Gary
