[Jukebox-list] Bulbs Humming?

I've heard that called a "mechanic's stethoscope" by my father in law,
who used it to pinpoint a clicking noise in my car's engine once upon
a time (80's caprice, was the fuel pump as I recall). He used a
broomstick, I think.
Anyway, the reason I wrote is: there's a bony place just behind your
ear that conducts sound quite well. I remember back in school we did
an experiment with a tuning fork that you could barely hear until you
pressed it against this area. Where Ron says "place it against your
ear," I actually place it against that spot behind your ear. I
thought others might find this helpful.

I write to make people think. Sadly, in many cases my writing makes
people think, "Man, this guy is really an idiot".
