I've been working on my LPC480D for awhile, it was pretty butchered. The
album scan control was missing, the facsimile album windows were gone
and a filler board replaced all that, the autospeed was kaput, no
mid-range speakers. Found all the missing hardware and got the autospeed
back alive. I've got several Seeburgs from a trashcan all the way up to
the SCD's but I like the LPC 480 the best. It's the whole enchilada, 45
& 33's, stereo, the album scan deal with sequencing lights behind the
mini album covers and the chime, advertising of your own choice, great
sound. It came out of a pretty rough bar in Chicago so the cabinet will
need repairing after I get the amp & receiver tuned up.
In last Wednesdays digest someone mentioned a green 480, was there
anything else going on beside the green grill cloth, were the cabinet
sides the same brown veneer? If somebody has a link to a pic that would
be great.
Regarding the Disco version all I remember from the manual(don't have it
with me) was the gold display in the center album holder slot and a huge
external projection horn speaker. Seems like there's a switch on the
back of the case but I don't remember what it controlled. Is there
anything else I'm missing on the disco version?
Thanks
Jeff
