Thanks guys for your input.
The amp guy used my speakers, my junction box, my volume control and my tone arm with my cartridge !
Anyhow, I connected the cartridge with the two signals together and the two grounds together.
Anything wrong with that ?
When I use a ceramic cart, I get louder sound, but it is not as nice as with the NP/AC.
I wonder if the amp was ever modified to be used with a ceramic only cart. When I bought it, it had a damaged Astatic 51 type cart on it (which doesn't mean it was original by the way)
My amp guy will try my amp in another mono Tempo 1 with a "known good amp" to see if there are any differences and we will go from there.
Do you think the NP/AC might be defective ? I always believed that a cart was either good or bad.
I might try to find an original GE VR II and get it rebuilt.
Any other ideas ?
Thanks again
Francois
