Yes, it is real.I remember reading an article in the newspaper about a few years ago about a company (not sure if it is the same one as Ebay) that developed this technology and was rolling it out in several models. Sounded really neat, but since the lowest end models were priced in the mult-thousand dollar range, I opted to buy a used pickup truck....   :)
Looking at the price in the auction, this would have been one of the lower end models.
