Hildegard,
I copied the motif and printed it on heavy paper. Took out the Monkeys
Jacket and replaced it with the Aztec Sun. I will post some pics of it on
the Google Jukebox Group, it looks pretty cool. I think I will find
something else to mount it to. Many thanks to Jeff, it's very nice!
Jackie

Hello to everybody,

Jeff did forward the Aztec-Sun-Motif so I could add it as two download files
(.jpg and .psd) to our site.
You will find it at "http://www.jukebox-world.de/Forum/Archiv/Archiv.html
 >>> US Models >>> Pictures of Rock-Ola >>> 437"

This is the direct link to the final page:
http://www.jukebox-world.de/Forum/Archiv/R.O.437.htm

Thanks again, Jeff!

Merry Christmas to everybody - Hildegard

Hi Jeffrey,

if you think the "Aztec Sun" would be great addition to the site in our
Archive I would be happy to add it there.

Kind regards - Hildegard Stamann

I've been following this thread with great interest as many members will
know I own an Ultra 437 purchased ten years ago from an operator closing
down his business.

My 437 served most of its working life in small western Queensland
(Australia) town hotel and when I purchased it for $A1000.00 it was still
working - though many parts had been removed or replaced.

One door speaker came from a television set, the animation was intact but
the motor was burnt out, the chrome was pitted, the pin-striped glass
missing, the "Aztec Sun motif intact" - thankfully there was no rust, just a
heady smell of rum and tobacco.

I cleaned it up at that time, but now have gone back inside the jukebox and
am giving it a full showroom condition restoration - rechromed, new glass,
replaced the animation motor, two-packed the cabinet interior, new veneer,
powder-coated the magazine struts, and cleaned up the electrics.

I was hearted to see that some members view this model as collectable, as in
South-East Queensland is was a fairly common unit, and a big part of my
childhood. I'd watch "Jetson's City" (the futuristic cityscape) for long
periods of time, marveling at it. But for a 14 year old in
1969 it really was the stuff of dreams.

After the 437 is reinstalled, I've an AMI G-200 awaiting!

BTW - if anyone wants a Photoshop .psd of the "Aztec Sun" motif, please
contact me off-list.
