Hi Gary,
I wonder if you come to this forum on jukes (like me) after a number of
years work in another somewhat related discipline? Lot's of the regulars on
here do. It seems most are self-employed after spending some time "in
training" in one outfit or another.....
I am in this category too. Self employed.
As someone who is self employed I don't put up with crap (either from
custormers..... or myself). My rule is "the customer is always right.....
but I reserve the right to make the (difficult) customer right for the last
time." I have no time for that nonsense anymore.... and I don't need to put
up with it. My clients gotta role easy with things or they don't last. Of
course, they get the truth and take their choice on what to do.
I look for a little fun in my self-employed endeavours and I sense that many
of the knowledgeable folk in this forum share my view that life is tooooo
short to deal with jukes and not have a bit of fun along the way.
That fun is reflected nicely in some of the sarky and OT comments submitted
by our members. I love the way these comments reveal the realities of
members who have spent lifetimes catering to finicky jukes and even
finickier juke folk. After several years here, I know that we don't abuse
Topic too much. Logically, from this, topic, must include, however briefly
from time to time, the human relations wisdoms accumulated along the way.
Now that we have the basics covered, my point is.... to me this forum is
PERFECT because it is not an uptight, high blood pressure place where we all
need to be stricktly confined to the fixit aspect of topic. This means, I'd
appreciate it if folk who bellyache about our members taking a few liberties
with Topic, would clam up (translate, stay off the keyboard) and leave the
referee work where it belongs, with our Moderator, Jay.
Nuff said :-)
With All Due Respect...
'spect I'll subscribe a while ;-)
