[Jukebox-list] Rockola 469 Wallbox

Karl,
I don't know much about RO wall box set-ups, or VC's. Unfortunatly the man who would know, "RockOla Charlie" is in the hospital--
If it's still the old stepper system (vs "solid state") it probably uses the three wire (in the cable) system. If so, I use Belden # 8445 wire, which is a 5 wire cable. I double up on two wires for the 25vac and ground, and use the one wire left for the signal pulse.
I think it would be wise to purchase a manual for the wallbox before proceeding to run wires.
As for the VC, once again, I am not sure which system is used on that model. I think it's the same five wire system that Seeburg used. Again, check the 469 service manual, before taking my word--Ron Rich

I have a customer's Rockola 469 in the shop for a minor repair and general service. My customer has asked about adding a wallbox to the unit. I have never messed with a wallbox on any model juke whatsoever but I see lots of y'all talking about them so figured this would be a good place to ask a couple of questions that might be pretty obvious to everyone else.

1) The manual lists wallbox 507 as the appropriate one but I have noticed over the years that those in the know will know of several different models of wallboxes that are compatible. Any advice here would be appreciated.

2) How many wires and what gage are required? My customer wants to use this wallbox in his breakfast nook about 20 feet from the jukebox and may go ahead and have wires run now (before I locate a wallbox for him) since he is in the process of renovations to his house.

3) Same question for a remote volume control unit.

4) Anything I should know about this and haven't asked?

Thanks a heap in advance y'all
