Bob, if this feature presents a nuisance, simply disable the empty
record switch on the clamp arm. Wes

Subject: [Jukebox-list] Seeburg B100 Cancel solenoid concern
I'm completing the restoration of a 100B and ran along the issue that
the mechanism will not activate the cancel solenoid if there is not a
record in the slot or the rerecord doesn't load properly .
In looking through the manual this appears to be how the unit was
designed.
I'd like to give this unit to my client without this problem and I'm
considering shorting out the IC contacts which should allow the cancel
solenoid to work in this case. I realize it will also fire again on the
unload cycle
It would seem that telling him that any time he makes a selection while
that song is playing it will be canceled is a lesser problem that
telling him that if a record don't load he needs either replace the
record or pull the back off and reset the lever manually
I'd be interested if anyone has actually had a problem because of this
issue and weather I'm worrying needlessly
Thanks
Bob
