[Jukebox-list] Seeburg VP CD

I picked up a CDK-006 from a radio station as a backup to my Seeburg
SCD-1A. Was anything modified for DJ use or should it be plug&play in my
juke?

Thanks

The Sony CDK-006 player was also heavily used in early automated systems
for
radio stations, either selected by a DJ, or played under computer
control.
Usually four or five units in a group, and I believe some systems could
control multiple groups. I have in the recent past purchased players in
excellent shape that were retired from radio station service.

They were also used in some kind of special vending machine that would
let
you select several tracks and burn a cassette tape via high speed
dubbing.
These units were heavily modified for this use.

YMMV,
