Are you sure of these dates, Jay?  I thought Seeburg bought
the Andrews mechanism right before the start of WWII, and it 
was the war that delayed its development.  Frank Adams'
Seeburg book says the M100-A was "introduced" in December,
1948, although is seems to be acknowledged that units
weren't shipped until January.

Yes, Seeburg was involved with the marketing very early on, but
they had no role in the development, which went way back to
the mid 30s (and puts the lie to the assertion that the 45
was just a "reaction" to Columbia's LP).
