You might have this confused with television picture tubes.
There is a high-voltage anode around the inside of the tube
to help pull the electrons to the screen.  It's connected to
its power supply with a heavy cable that looks like a spark
plug wire, and plugs into the side of the picture tube.  The
capacitors in that high voltage supply can hold a charge for
some time, and it can be lethal.  But tubes themselves, no,
they don't hold any kind of a chage.
