A Seeburg mech should always be removed if you lay it down.It won't mess up
anything and it's easy to do.You have to remove the back panel to access
it.First you must open up the cabinet lid until it locks in the up position. Then
look down in the front You will see a handle .Pull up and it will release the
right door. Then there is a latch holding the left door. Now you have to unplug
the cables going to the tormat control center and the amp from the mech. Then
go in the back and work them through the holes in the mech compartment
floor. These must be free before you remove the mechanism. The manual shows the
SS160 has a snubber bracket that my other jukes don't have. It's at the top in
the rear.Loosen 4 screws at the top of it if it's there. Then there are 2 pins
in the bottom slides that must be removed. They are all the way in the rear at
the bottom. The mechanism will slide out.Just be careful of the cables when
you're pulling it out.Sit the mechanism upright in the vehicle.A Seeburg mech
should never be laid down for transport.Be sure and lock the cabinet lid if
possible before laying the cabinet down. They tend to fly open if you don't.
