Ron, I have one of those Western Electric Pianos. Also I have an
encyclopedia that has a picture of it and it says it was made by Seeburg. It
sold for less than a Seeburg. That's why they did not use the Seeburg logo
on it. Sorta like Cadillac and La Salle. Wes

Bob,
I have been "told" that "Western Electric Piano Company" was always a
"Seeburg Company". In fact, they were produced in the same factory. I have
been told that the office entrance to "WEPCO" was on the back or side of the
Seeburg factory--but they shared the same production line and shipping dock.
Also have been told that the word "Piano" was part of the company name, to
avoid problems with AT&T. Don't know how true the above is ( Seeburg also
purchased "Eastern Electric Co", much later--they made the cig.
