    Jens, the 'clock' speed on a mechanical slot machine is determined by 
how much wind resistance is 'fan' is subjected to. The resistance can be 
altered by 'forming' the fan to offer less wind resistance. This will not 
affect the wear of the parts if the reel brakes are adjusted accordingly. 
The replacement cost of the device is controlled by the bottom line- income 
per hour. Wes
