If you don't like it why did you sign up? The rest of us seem to like and
appreciate the list and do not find it annoying in the least.

>>I am hoping someone might be able to help. I am in the process of
>>restoring a Wurlitzer 1900. This model has 104 Selections - 4 letters
>>(A, B, C, D) x 26 numbers (1-26).
>>
>>Problem I'm Having:
>>
>>Whenever I make any A or C selection it works perfectly (from beginning to
>>end - right pin pops up and selects right record).
>>
>>Whenever I make any B or D selection, I get the A-Selection (with the
>>appropriate number).
>>
>>Examples:
>>
>>Select A15 = get A15
>>Select C23 = get C23
>>Select B8 = get A8 (A8 pin pops up not B8)
>>Select D13 = get A13 (A13 pin pops ups not D13)
>>
>>I think I have a basic understanding of what is supposed to happen when
>>selection is made:
>>
>>When select A button: no circuit to operating components, rotating plate
>>/ rocker assembly stays put and A selection is made
>>
>>When B or C selected: Circuit should energize Stop Magnet B or C and
>>driver solenoid, actuate stop arm B or C, and the rotating plate / rocker
>>assembly will shift (until it hits Stop Magnet) so right selection is
>>made.
>>
>>When D selected: it appears there is no stop magnet / arm but the driver
>>solenoid only and the rotating plate / rocker will travel full distance it
>>has to in order to be aligned with D Pins. .
>>
>>Since C works perfectly it appears that at least its circuit is getting
>>energized and its stop magnet and the drive solenoid work properly.
>>
>>However ,consistent with B or D not selecting properly, when I observe the
>>rotating plate I see that it is not moving or shifting (like with C
>>selection).
>>
>>Therefore, although I see what is happening I'm at a loss as to what I
>>need to do to troubleshoot the B and D selections. As mentioned, I'm
>>trying to fix this up so I have never seen it work properly.
>>
>>Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
>>
>>Thanks
>>
