Howdy,
The Amp is a 125 WATT 6-07438-02. Found this thing at the Salvation Army
store for $100. Never had one, but thought I'd take a chance given the
price. Had a key made, opened it up and everything was there. Everything
worked, but the sound was intially a little fuzzy, so I found a place that
had a needle. Put that in and saw that the speaker wires were not all
connected to the "E" terminals, so I wired it according to the manual. The
sound cleaned up real good. Sound out of all speakers, but top side left
does not come out as rich as the right side and sounds a little weak. Both
bottom speakers sound clear as well. Tried switching mono to stereo with no
difference that I could tell. There are no remote speakers attached. No
overload lights show. The wiring all looks pretty good. Insulation is
pliable with with no hardening or cracks. I have the speakers set at level
E6 Red wire left, Pink wire right, Violet and Brown are are on E4
respectively. The black wire is on E1 right. Accourding to the manual E1 is
common to both right and left. There is no other wire to attach to that
side. Should I jumper the E1 terminals? When I adjust the balance control to
the right the left sound goes away. When I adjust to the left the right side
sound dims. Whoops! that doesn't sound right. Brown and Violet mixed up?
Dave
