Dave,
Get a gram guage, set the needle for as close to 5 grams as possible, and you should have no problem

  Hello Again Ron,
Silly me.....I had Pink and Brown mixed up. Got them right and everything
balances out. Sound is strong. Thanks for making me think. I also think I
stole this machine for $100.
One other question. I have some real clean and rare 45's to play, but was
told that the tone arm is typically too heavy and that the records will wear
out quickly. I moved the counter balance out as far as it would go and it
still seems a bit heavy. Is there something out there that will even out the
balance a little better (maybe a slightly heavier counterbalance)? Or do I
just throw a washer on the tail? I'd like to play some of these records, but
I don't want to ruin them. OR maybe it's all a wives tale.
Dave
