Are you sure the display is bad? Sometimes missing segments are caused by a poor connection to the display or broken wiring (use a meter to test continuity). If the display is bad, Bruce Wentworth fixes them for about $60. Otherwise look for a cheaper used one from Ebay. They do turn up occasionally...
