Welcome to the list.  You fall squarely into one of the 
better two of the three categories of subscribers.  The
first are the professionals who do this for a living.
The second are "serious hobbyists" like you and me. The
third are the "Help!  I just bought a Seaberg art deco style
Select-O-Rama and it won't play???  What do I do!!!"-type.
They don't last long.  Whether juke boxes are a good
investment I dunno.  But if you love them, that's a
secondary issue anyway.

You've probably heard this already, but it bears
repeating:  Get The Manual.  AMI manuals have pretty
good block diagrams in them that you don't need to
be an electrical enigneer to follow.  You're much
more likely to get a friendly answer, as well, if
you can give a list of things that you've ascertained
*aren't* the problem.  Good luck!
