First off, I've never worked on a Continental, but just
generally speaking, on the vast majority of machines, the
latch solenoid releases to release the buttons.  It's
only activated when there are credits on the machine,
Like I said, I know nothing about Continentals, but
AMIs from the early 60s have a solenoid-activated-to-
make-a-selection, solenoid-off-to-release-the-buttons
type of setup.  When you're describing sounds like
solenoid-activated-to-make-a-selection and solenoid-even-
more-activated-to-release.  There's a non-sequitir here.
