  Are you using a wallbox? If no, you don't need a 2050, and it's better to leave the socket un-used.  Subs are 2050-A-B, 2051, 502. Ron Rich

Won't your friend sell you one? As far as I know, there
is no substitute. A place called "Tube Depot" has them
for 20 bucks http://www.tubedepot.com/nos-2050.html .
I think Antique Electronic Supply has them too.
