Yes I do have the small board in the MIK1.
However, I can get the Validator to accept bills, and pass them through, but they do not register for credits. The coin mechanism works flawlessly.
The guy that I talk to, was a former route man, and now does boxes on the side in retirement. He mentioned that the programmer needed to have a diode added to activate the validator. Ron Rich says that's B.S.( I tend to agree with Ron) I've traced it dowm through my trouble shooting pages, and it points to the Graybox as a possible culprit, but the graybox works great with change.
Here is an oddity that may be a hint as to what is going on. When I connect the validator and pass a bill through, like I mentioned, I get no credit. Now here is the odd thing. For about the next ten cycles when I put in a coin, the first song played is ALWAYS random, then it plays the selections I chose. After about ten cylcles it settles down and plays songs as selected by me. I usually just reject the first song, and go from there. I do not lose any plays, the random one is always a freebee. So maybe it is registering the bill, but not activating the credit circuit, but somehow just plays 10 randomn selection. Whatever the coin mechanism activates, the DBV is not doing likewise, I don't have a clue as of yet, but I guarantee I will be an expert before long.
I'm finding out, I think I'm the only one on the planet that has a bill validator in his home box, but I want it all originjal.
