Hello Bob,
I am restoring a 1933 Everett Orgatron, church organ.
Everett used hide glue on everything, cabinet, pneumatics...
I bought the hide glue pellets, added a little bit of water and heated same
in a double boiler.
Once you get used to using a little stick to apply the glue it is really
fast to work with as it sets fairly quickly.
You have to have your parts ready to touch together, apply glue, press them
together and that's it.
Even when gluing the new rubberized cloth to your vacuum bellows you will
have just enough time after applying the glue to apply the cloth before the
glue sets.
I liked working with it.
Good luck,
Don
