>From my reading of various articles (mostly Dr. Know-it-all), the components
in the pulse amp are a frequent source of problems, especially when they are
old.  Why not replace them?  Except for the tube, there is, what, 50 cents worth
of parts in there?  Just protect that 12AX7, they are getting pretty pricy...
