My first juke purchase was a used LS1. I like the layout of components and
the sound is very good after I recapped the amp.
If the LS2 is in working order I think it would be a good purchase for you.
There is also a Seeburg group on Yahoo - so there are many sources for help
if you need. Of course this list has all you need :)
After I got my LS1 I started from the ground up - cleaned and lubed the
mech, recapped the amp, recapped the control center (replaced a bad
transformer too), and tore down the cabinet and cleaned everything.
For any adjustments it is easier for me to remove the mech (10 min). It
slides out and a after taking off a few connections it is loose. It even
stays bolted to a little shelf. I think the LS2 has a back door for easier
in juke adjustments. The mech in the SS160, LS1, LS2 and later use the wedge
needles.
After working on this machine for many hours I appreciate the quality design
and materials used in the mech. Similar things can be said about other makes
also.
