You are making good progress Jackie!

On my LS1 (I think the LS2 is similar) there is a strip of outlets in the 
base of the juke. One of the outlets is on all the time (so if you want the 
juke can stay lit all the time). There should be markings to indicate which 
one it is (one on mine is marked "night light") I think your control center 
is probably plugged into that socket. Just move the plug to another socket.
