Not the "two big Jones Plugs" - They are the "selection plugs". Just remove the  ASU cable from the TSU, (it should be--if used-- in series with the mech cable--a set of smaller "Amphonol" (sp?) type,  eleven or twelve pins, round plugs), and put the mech plug directly into the TSU socket. Yes, you can unplug the two big Jones plugs from the ASU and connect them
together for 45 rpm only play. Sounds like a nice box, mine needed the
pinstripes re-done, which was not a lot of fun.
