[Jukebox-list] AMI B tone arm

Hi all,
My ami C has that newer arm and is still on 78. Does anyone here have the rest of the kit to convert it to 45 (the cam and whatever is used to slow it down to 45)? I already have a the new style 51 cart that uses the flip over stylus that has 45 on one side and 78 on the other. Thank you, Rick.

      Hi Gary, the other tone arm came in a kit to convert the AMI-40 to 45 RPM. A new cam also came in this kit to make the tone arm land more softly. This was know as a 'retro-fit' kit. Wes

  Hi everyone, seeing as we are on the subject of tone
  arms, I was wondering if someone could clear up
  something that has been puzzling me for a while. My
  AMI B has a cast metal tone arm which I take to be
  original. I have however seen machines with a longer
  thinner arm almost like a modern hi fi. would I be
  right in guessing that these were used when converted
  to 45s or were they just a later modification.  if
  anyone can shed some light on this, that would be
  appreciated.
