I don't know about the Rowe R-83 but I give a Rockola 490-1 a home here.It
was my first juke. I think for some 1st jukes are keepers even though they
get more desireable jukes. Besides it has great sound. I got this juke way back
in the early 90s before groups like this were around and long before I got a
computer. I didn't have any people to help me and had no idea about such
places as Durfee,Victory Glass, A1 etc.But I got it going. The more desirable
ones came later after I owned a computer and could get info online and go on
ebay.

It will always have sentimental value because I lived with my late
grandmother when I got it. She protested at first calling it a piece of junk. But soon
fell in love with it when it was working often playing Conway Twitty and
Hank Williams JR records on it. She would get up and dance with her cane and
all when she played "Family Tradition"

Thankfully I knew Charlie Maier in 2005 when the computer took a dump. That
was a little beyond my ability. Thanks to Charlie it's going strong and I can
remember my grandma when I play selection 174"Family Tradition"
