[Jukebox-list] AMi E cabinet finish

I think all AMI E had the yucky green Di-Noc woodgrain. Have one mint
original here. The finish is similar to a Seeburg M100C.

Then came the F and G with allt those speckle colour variations.
Perhaps that means that speckle started in 1954?

I have a Wurlitzer 1700 that is speckle painted a bright blue that looks
mint - thinking of keeping it that way, it is a very authentic 50's finish -
not? Albeit not factory original.

I've had speckle painted 1100s, 1015s, all kinds of classic machines. It
really protects the veneer so it is not bad, but it can be hard to get the
base paint out of the grain (I use a really etching strong thinner and a
fine wire brush). Don't think anyone would want a speckle 1015 these days.
