Hello everybody it's me again,
I was thrilled to bits to able to tell you all how I'd managed to get my
wurly 3600 to play five consecutive records just in time for my
fortieth birthday bash but unfortunately it stopped at five and refuses
to go on any further. Has it died a death I wonder.

I think a lot of my problem has been dirty contacts and corosion build
up and the fact of repeatedly selecting tracks and manually winding on
the machine help the natural process of cleaning I've also used some
very light emery to help.

The machine scans perfectly there is also power to the turntable but the
"now playing" bulb no longer lights up (wierd because it's getting power
(too much even) and it's not blown) The arm no longer selects and the
cam motor no longer spring into action even the amp stays dead.

You have all been of great help, and with my total lack of electronic
knowhow I'm embarrassed to ask for your help again. But if any of you
have any ideas I would appreciate your advice.

Oh! one thing which was staring me in the face and so obvious that I
couldn't see it,
the control box has "CONTROL BOX MODEL 3700 BO/AC3 written on it.
My hand book for the 3600 doesn't have any schematics for it's own
control box let alone the control box for the 3700.

Bob' sequence of operation has been a great comfort but I'm still stuck.
