Ian, from your description I think you have a mechanical problem. Select a record, when it gets in play position, move the service switch to 'off' position. Remove the record manually. The tone arm should ride just above the turntable. In this situation, the tone arm may be moved freely and you will probably find the obstruction. Make the tone arm wire is flexible and not getting tight at the end of the record. Wes

Subject: [Jukebox-list] Rowe TI-2 sometimes not cancelling at end
Hello all,
The problem I have is this -- more often than not, the unit will fail to
automatically cancel at the end of the record. It doesn't seem to be specific
to the record either -- I can play a certain record sometimes and it cancels
fine, but other times it does not. What happens is that as the tone arm
reaches the end of the record, it seems to skip almost violently back to
the end of the recorded area of the record. It's almost as if something
not only is preventing it from moving forward but has actually pushed it
back. At any point in the record, I can manually press the cancel button
and that always works 100% fine.
Thanks much for any and all insight.
-Ian
