Rick, your mechanism probably has five million miles on it. The problem is that the 'A' sides of the title strips were always the hits and the 'B' sides were not played as much. As you probably know the cam shaft runs in the opposite direction to play the A or B sides. The cam that drops the clutch member into neutral at play position should have steep sides on both sides of the detent. As wear increases, the A side slope gets more wear and the cam follower lever will push the cam forward at an accelerated speed and shorten the pulse to the pin reset coil. This is one of the reasons that the jukes were supposed to last a certain amount of years and then relegated to the city dump.
To correct this problem if you go by the book, would be to replace the cam assembly. Another method would be to modify the brake cam so it offers resistance at the exact moment that the SC switch pulses. Contact me for more details. Wes
