Oh, but something could EASILY be rigged up for the Rock Ola, since it
rejects using a simple switch.

Just figure out a way to mount a leaf switch connected to the reject switch
just under the middle of the tonearm somewhere so that it clears by 2mm when
a record is on the turntable. If a record misses or the slot is empty, then
the tonearm lands on the switch and it rejects.

Really though, people, just keep the basket full, even if it's with random
records.

I rigged up a set of old pinball leaf switches that are activated by my
Rock-Ola 474's stylus brush arm. The Pizza place it's in has a radio/CD
player playing from the kitchen, with speakers in the dining room. When a
record is played, the stylus brush arm retracts and opens the switches,
cutting off the 'house' speakers in the dining room, then the juke plays
through it's own spaeakers.
The 'house' speakers run from the back, to the juke, then from the juke to
the speakers. Not high tech, but works perfectly.

I don't see any reason something like this couldn't be done near the tonearm
for rejecting a blank slot.
