Karl, as it takes two sets of switches to reverse a DC motor, the failure of either one will cause the motor to stop because of no DC. In this case, the motor will not jam against a pin. This leads me to think the trouble is in the micro-switch as the slip rings has bi-furcated contacts and usually do not fail. Wes
