'Amp' is the maker, think they have been swallowed by Tyco. Amp still make
connectors today.

I guess they may be available as car spares, as you say somewhere else to
try.
I have had a look with a magnifying glass and found the following markings
on them: On the socket housings "AMP AP - xx" and on the plug housings "AMP
AO -xx" , where xx is the number of ways. Of course the contacts don's have
any markings, but as Ron pointed out they are identical in both the plug
and
socket.
