For everyone,
while searching around Craigslist last night I came upon a beautiful Jukebox on the Northern Va. location. The link below:
http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/clt/216415208.html
So I emailed asking for a price. The response was immediate and it was $2100. Not a bad price but way more than I could pay so I answered the email assuring him the Jukebox would sell quickly and the most I could offer was $800, knowing full well it was WAY below any reasonable offer. Again, quickly got a response with "it's a deal for $800" now I am REALLY scratching my head. My luck is good but NOT that good! So then he starts talking about "Buysafe" a third party that holds the Jukebox, packed and ready to ship when he gives the word.(he is in England on his honeymoon?) They handle the money and I have 10 days to accept the item, if I am not happy I can return it at a cost to him....................not bad huh? I then went to Buysafe and read all the information on shipping and security measures and realized my suspicions were correct, this guy is really setting me up.
I continued with this for the rest of the morning and got a bogus email from Buysafe asking for payment ONLY by Western Union............ha! A huge Scam if I ever smelled one.............so buyers beware. I have reported it to Craigslist Security as well as Buysafe Security.
Thanks for taking the time to read all this, sometimes I just scratch my head, the nerve!
Jackie
