It looks like the arc of coin slots is in front of the bottom edge of the
dome.  The textured "leatherette" seems to go right under that edge to 
surround the mechanism.

What I was wondering is, if the whole stack of trays and records spins if
you play the top record, there must be some way to lock them all together
so you don't get any "slip" like with a multi-plate clutch!  What a concept!
