[Jukebox-list] Ebay 270045856894 M100A

Ok.... Looks like unless this one goes real cheap, considering the
shipping and work required I'll pass. Looking at the picture, the
record rack appears much larger than the 45's, were any of these
converted but still used the 78 rack. Also wondering if Seeburg
published an addendum to the M100A manual describing their way of
converting these. If so I'd like to get that for a better understanding
of what's involved.

Thanks
Jeff Dieterle

Jeff,
A whole lot is involved in the conversion--record rack, tone arm/cart.
mods, lift arm, gears, to name what I can think of, off hand. Also,
there may have been some "irreversable" changes made--depending on which
"kit" was used, which would require you to try to obtain used parts
somewhere. It's not "impossable", just a lot of work. Ron Rich

What's
involved to get one back to 78's, I'm guessing the correct gear set and
probably a lift arm. Is there more to the conversion, maybe the
cartridge or
something else? Also the mechanism cover is severely damaged. Are there
folks still dealing in these parts or is it a long shot with a long wait
to
find everything to bring this box back to presentable shape?

Thanks

Jeff Dieterle
