[Jukebox-list] 3W1 marquee

Justin,
You make some good points. I overlooked the obvious. Thanks for making note
of the " HIGH FIDELITY" comment. The biggest letters are high fidelity right
across the top.
This does kinda set a date line. Dumb of me to overlook that.

I would be interested in a copy of the installation instuctions. Is there a
picture as well?

I am not clear on your statement " when you mentioned your lettering was
engraved, this would indicate you have a repro. the originals were stamped
into the metal plate."

What is the difference between "engraved" and "stamped in"?

To describe the one I have, I would describe it as having the letters routed
out of the metal
(recessed) then painted in the routed areas. This gives a smooth feel and
would be hard to scratch off the lettering.

Kyle has posted pictures before. Maybe he is following this discussion and
would post a couple of pictures for me. Then everyone could see it.

I have not seen any others to compare to or any supporting literature.
I don't really care if mine is or is not original. I do think they look
really cool installed.

The ones I have made will probably be made out of aluminum or steel , chrome
plated and then screen printed. The chrome finish will match the wallbox
better. I was also thinking of not having to drill and tap to install but
simply using 3M double sided adhesive tape. I am thinking that people don't
want to drill and tap the backside of the coin entry casting to install as
it should be. I have been inquiring about using the stainless. I have been
informed that the stainless would have to be "cut out" as opposed to
"stamped out" and this would cause blueing of the edges.
