Yes-I cracked it open and changed the caps in there, but no resistors
yet...not one of the easier places to service I found out.

Did you check the other components in the pulse amp?  I can't remember
specifically, but I seem to remember reading that there is a resistor
(or maybe a capacitor) in there that drifts in value or opens up, and
it is commonly overlooked since it is inside the pulse amp box.
