Unless it's been modified since it left the factory, you can tell from
a picture of the front. The upper-right red part says "HI-FI STEREO"
on the stereo models, and something else, perhaps "HI-FIDLEITY"?, on
the mono models.

I haven't had to do much with mine. The only problems it had when I
got it was the E's and the 9's didn't work. Cleaning contacts fixed
the 9's. I still don't have E6-E0 working, but that's only because I
haven't put time into it. I will be doing more as I get time.

But it opens up nicely; the front glass swings up and out of the way
and the title board comes out, and when the two back panels are off,
something like 80-90% of the rear surface area is open to get inside
the box.

I've probably said this before. I have memories of being about 3
years old (late 60's) at a child care center (at a ski slope?, I was
only there one day), where they had a Wurlitzer with an exposed
mechanism. My recolection is that the tone arm was green, so it was
maybe a 1900 or 2000. What a cool "record player"! The way it
changed records was so smooth, it was magical.

I don't know how to impress upon the rest of you just how tall that
jukebox looked from my vantage point; I'm using that to estimate my
age at the time. For all I know, I probably stared at that jukebox
for the whole time I was there...

So, anyway, I knew I had to get an exposed-mech carousel Wurlitzer
when I got into the hobby. One of the first things I did with the AJ
guide was try to figure out what kind of jukebox that was...
