Also, omitted from Tony's site, one of the most common problems is also
sticky lube in the manual trip lever. From the 'mech side' it's just to the
right of the tonearm and is the part that snaps up when tripped at the end
of record or change cycle. It has a finger lift on it for manual tripping.
This lever needs to fall back into place before the end of the cycle. Gummy
lube can keep this from happening and it'll continue to cycle.
Add some light lubricant to the trip lever at it's pivot and work it several
times. Probably won't require any disassembly.
If this isn't the problem, follow the instructions on Tony's site. If
you're good with lubricants and have an aplicator with an extendable tube,
you may not have to disassemble the clutch shaft, either, especially if it's
not too dirty.
Despite all of these seemingly complicated instructions, it's a common
problem and easily solved.
